Privacy Policy

AutoGrant helps grant-dependent organizations decide which funding is worth pursuing and run the work. This page explains what information we collect when you visit this site, submit a request, or participate in an AutoGrant program, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

Who this applies to

This policy applies to visitors of autogrant.ai and people who submit information through the forms on this site (Score a Real Grant, Platform access, Enterprise and consultant inquiries, and security requests). Use of the product itself is governed by a separate engagement agreement signed with each customer organization.

What we collect

• Information you give us: name, work email, organization, organization type, website and public opportunity links, and any message you submit through a form on this site. We use this only to prepare and follow up on what you requested.
• Basic usage data: standard server logs (timestamps, IP address, user agent, requested URL). We use this for security and to understand traffic patterns.
• Analytics: we use Microsoft Clarity, PostHog, Google Analytics, and Vercel Analytics to see which pages are useful and where the site is slow or confusing. Clarity also records how visitors move through pages, with form input masked, so we can find friction. These tools set cookies, and each provider processes the data on our behalf under its own terms. Ask us if you need the provider list for a security review.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share your information with advertisers.
• We don't run third-party advertising trackers on this site.
• We don't use what these tools collect to retarget you with advertising anywhere else.
• We don't use website analytics to make decisions about individual people. It informs how we write and structure the site.

Why we collect it

• To respond to what you requested.
• To understand which content is useful so we can improve the site.
• To protect the site against abuse.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are kept as long as it's useful to the ongoing conversation, and removed on request. Server logs are rotated on a rolling 90-day window. Analytics data is kept for the retention period configured with each provider above.

Data residency

Our infrastructure runs in the United States by default. If your organization has specific residency or sovereignty requirements, raise them on your first call. We'll tell you honestly what we can and can't meet.

Your choices

Blocking cookies in your browser stops the analytics tools above from linking your activity across pages, and the site works fine without them. You can also request a copy of any information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email chris@autogrant.ai and we'll handle it directly.

Changes to this policy

AutoGrant is early-stage and the product is evolving. We'll update this page when our practices change and bump the “Last updated” date at the top.
