AutoGrant was created to solve an operating problem across nonprofits, public agencies, healthcare, research, and innovation: strong organizations repeatedly lose access to funding because opportunity selection, application work, evidence, approvals, and institutional memory are fragmented and understaffed.

Chris has spent more than two decades building technology for nonprofits, foundations, healthcare organizations, and other mission-driven institutions.
His experience includes:
- Serving inside a major community foundation and seeing grantmaking operations from the funder’s side
- Helping build two grant and social-impact technology ventures later acquired by Blackbaud—co-founding one and joining the other as its first employee
- Founding and leading Centered Networks, a Microsoft Solutions Partner serving mission-driven organizations
- Designing technology and AI operating models for organizations with real governance, security, and accountability requirements
He created AutoGrant after repeatedly seeing organizations with credible work lose funding opportunity to process, capacity, and fragmented knowledge rather than a lack of mission or effort.

Elaine Hankins
Head of Product
Elaine brings experience building and scaling software across startups, global technology companies, and enterprise environments.
Her background includes product leadership at Microsoft and Atlassian, venture incubation, workforce-planning software, and AI-native systems that combine language models, multi-step workflows, tools, and human control.
At AutoGrant, she helps shape a product that works inside real grant operations rather than as a disconnected writing assistant or opaque autonomous system.
Team thesis
Grants expertise, product design, and governed AI must be designed together.

The pursuit decision matters as much as the proposal
A strong no-go protects scarce capacity and can be as valuable as a submitted application.
Human judgment should become more scalable, not less visible
AI should carry research, structuring, drafting, checking, and coordination while people retain strategy, relationships, evidence, commitments, and approval.
Organizational knowledge should compound
Prior proposals, outcomes, feedback, reports, decisions, and funder history should make the next cycle stronger.
Responsible AI should be concrete
Approval gates, source visibility, data boundaries, review records, and disclosure support matter more than general statements about ethics.
Buyers deserve honest evidence
AutoGrant will not guarantee awards, manufacture case studies, or claim certifications it has not earned.
Early stage, stated plainly
AutoGrant is in active early adoption. Organizations are using the product to build pipelines, score opportunities, develop applications, and organize the lifecycle.
Grant outcomes take time and depend on funder decisions outside AutoGrant’s control. Award results should be published only when decisions are complete, evidence is verified, and the customer approves the story.
